Personal Tutors was established in 1970 and specialises in providing
tutors for individual tuition at the home of the pupil or the tutor.
Although we already have a large number of tutors on our Register we
are always happy to hear from new ones, as ours is a service where demand
normally outstrips supply.
We aim to offer tuition at all levels from basic to 'A' Level ('Highers'
in Scotland) and the full range of subjects we offer is shown below:

All tutors work on a self-employed basis and agree a suitable hourly
fee for tuition with the client, but both parties would normally be
guided by the rates recommended by the Agency,

rates are the nett amounts retained by the tutor.
To obtain the hourly rate payable by the pupil £4.95 to £5.10
(the Agency commission), as appropriate, is added to the rate retained
by the tutor.
Payment for lessons is made directly to the tutor, we would recommend
this be done at the end of each lesson, who then forwards any commission
due to the Agency at the end of each calendar month.
